    Vbulletin quick to buy?

    Hi everyone

I wanted to ask how many use vbulettin and how quick were you to buy the licence for your website. I have a IPB currently but really want to get a vb however it is very pricy, is it really worth it to buy it out if you dont know if the site will be active? or are you more for waiting till it grows than invest in one? what do you guys think? my site currently is still using IPB and its not active at all. Its never worked so I dont think getting a vb would be worth it? or will bring more activity?

I don't know if VB will bring more users. I think most people don't care what kind of software is on the forum as long as it has some good features, like most of them do.

Most forums have migration tools that will take your old forum information and import them into the new forum.

I like VB, but I think there's too many free choices for me to go to it. After I'm finished developing my own, you can use it ;)

    Trying :P

It'll be done maybe next year. Seriously. It's not easy. But, I've used a couple of forums and I don't like the way they're programmed, I think they're missing a lot of features by default, and I don't like the mod system many of them have. So, I decided to start doing my own.

English to start. I figure once I have something to show, I can build a community and thereby get people interested in translations, mods, templates, etc.

I have plans to make all of this incredibly easy for anyone to do without any experience or PHP know-how, but saying more would ruin the surprise and probably my competitive edge
