Google webmaster verification isnt working on x10 for me..please help
I have tried both the meta tag option and the html option to verify my x10 website. the meta tag....google says it cant be found..when it is clearly there!
the html file..it says 200 success returned instead of 404 error.
Anyone got any solutions? how did you do it? please help its driving me insane i have tried so many times!

I actually just did this two days ago, and it worked for me. Did you put the meta tag inside the head tag?

umm yes i did put it between the <head> block..and i put it 1st in that block too. i did this in the index.html.
i do use url forwarding though..is that the problem?? i use .co.nr url forwarding to my x10. is that the problem?

Make sure you upload the field into public_html, not the first folder you get to in FTP which is your user directory. It worked perfectly for me just last week.

You probably also need to tell it to scan your site again. It may have failed the first time if you didn't have the file with the tag set yet. It then takes a few hours to scan it.

URL forwarding might be a problem, but I know that name space forwarding is not. I registered my supertwinkie.co.cc domain without a problem. Why don't you post your code so we can see whats wrong?

Yes its a problem. co.nr is not really a domain, its just a domain forwarding service.Originally Posted by desiredd
