Webhosting

So basically, i'm wondering what kind of skill and money it takes to start a webhost.

I'm not trying to start my own(at least not right now, no time to), but i'm wondering the kind of skills that are necessary to start your own web host, and the money you would need to start with.

Like i'm already familiar with Apache, and simple stuff with its config files, and i know how to code in PHP. But what else would one need to know. I know basics with linux, but nothing fancy.

How much did Corey know and who all were the first people who started x10?

Hello supermatthew, all that i could say you is you need to buy your own server which is on reliable network/connection, then set it up, create a site, advertise it,attract customers blah blah blah........

I believe that you can buy reseller packages with big webhosts and offer webhosting with them through you. When you get enough money, you buy your own server and maintain them.
