x10 forum Changes

So ive noticed how the forums "New posts" section is spammed with topics that are games, people who are looking to actually find something intresting are sort of anoyed (i know i am) Theres nothing wrong with the games though so why don't we ask X10 to have a seperate button in the new posts section to display new game posts... This makes things easier for people who feel like playing and game or doing something serious...

Also Shouldnt we ask for a a newtopics button to go with the new posts button?

Thats part of my point... firstly new posts section has the main function to show everyone the newest posts... its easy to look at one cat at a time.. so for games u click games and there you go... for everything else instead of going to each cat u press "New Posts" I just want to stop topic spam (I think i created a new word, not sure though) in the "new posts" section from the games category thats all.

I did not purposeley wait for a chance when the new posts section is spammed i just randomly pressed new posts minutes after this post and decided to get some suporting content.

I like your idea.

Perhaps it is something that Corey may consider, or has already considered, for the new forum design which they are working on at the moment.

An even better option would be to have an "ignore this thread" or "ignore this forum/section" button, because there are other sections besides just the Games section which people may wish to ignore (eg. the Introductions section, or the Programmming section etc - depending on your own tastes).

I know that one way to "sort of" do this already is to Subscribe to forums/sections, but it isn't quite as good a method of seeing what one wants as is suggested here.

By the way, this thread would probably have been better placed in the Feedback & Suggestions section.

Im glad you like my suggestions but i wanted to sorta know if its a good suggestion before actually, suggesting it.

I like your ideas to, but thats probably a step ahead... the games thing is something i think everyone can agree on... the more seperated from the serious suff the better.

Yeah, but thats what the problem is, the games honestly spam the new posts section and makes it harder to sort things out, usual when i press new posts im looking for something interesting, something either related to rating a site, coding help serios discussions, etc. Games are fine also but im saying they should not show up in the new posts section. Serios stuff is found on all other boards uaually. If you want to play a game just click the game forums link and it will show you latest. For other stuff you cant really go through each indivdual forum all the time, so u look at latest to see the latest active threads ,
