    Beginner help using FTP

I have no clue what I am doing...

I want to host some files online. Here is where I stand so far:

-I signed up for an account on x10hosting http://freebbt.x10hosting.com

    -I then set up FTP:
    FTP Username: freebbt@freebbt.x10hosting.com
    FTP Server: ftp.freebbt.x10hosting.com
    FTP Server Port: 21
    SFTP Server Port: 22

    -I downloaded Filezilla FTP Client

-I used FZ to upload some files to Remote site: /Public_FTP

-When I disconnect FZ and then reconnect FZ I see those same files, so they are there somewhere.

So the question is: How do I now access the files? Using a web browser I can't locate them. Am I just using the wrong address? What would be the address/path to locate them?

You should put the files in /www or /public_html (they're the same). Then you can access them from freebbt.x10hosting.com

So if you create a file /public_html/test.php, it'll be visible at http://freebbt.x10hosting.com/test.php

It's a common mistake I wouldn't worry about it. If you have any further questions, feel free to post in the Support Forum: http://forums.x10hosting.com/free-hosting/
