Joomla and php 5.3

Hi to everybody.. This is my first post and i need help with a little problem..
I recently designed a site with joomla in a localhost (my computer) using Xampp.. Then when i moved it to a remote server.. the site was a mess. The menus were missing and the text all all over the place.. I first thought that was a problem with the data base, but no.. That wasn't the problem, and after looking for a while i realized that the the only thing diferent in the local and the remote host was the version in PHP.. 3 in the remote and 2 in the local.. Could be this the problem? i can't seem to find the answer anywhere.. I hope somebody can confirm this.. Thanks..

To answer your question, X10 currently uses PHP 5.2.11, not PHP 5.3. If you want to check what PHP version a server is running, use phpversion.

If you want help with the specific problems you're experiencing, describe them, not your guesses. Be sure to include minimal test code, links to live pages, and describe the behavior you expect and the behavior you get. Make your descriptions concise.

I know that x10 uses php2.. I have not had any problems here.. It was in another hosting company.. And I am only asking if php5.3 works fine with joomla 1.5.. Thanks for the reply..
