    Can I edit the php.ini?

    Quick question, I'm installing a shopping cart to my site and it requires me to uncomment the:

    extension=php_gd2.dll

    I know how to do this but can I edit the php.ini and if so where would I locate it?

    Free hosting users do not have access to the .ini file, although the GD2 PHP library should already be active anyway.

    I figure I wouldn't have access but if it's already active then I should be good. Thanks
