Uploading website error in Dreamweaver CS5

I used the following settings:


FTP ACCOUNT FOR WEBSITE::::
www.Myriad.x10hosting.com
---------------------------------------------------------


TYPE: FTP

FTP address:

myriad.x10hosting.com

PORT:21

advanced option-> use passive FTP

What folder do you want to store files in:

public_html

I get the following error message: (in the attachment)

have you tried typing in ftp.myriad.x10hosting.com?

and depending on what FTP program you're using [I'd recommend FileZilla] don't use passive FTP.

also, when logging into your FTP account it's NOT your x10 hosting FORUM account, it's your cPanel account.

Other than that, I don't think theirs any more to it...

nah, its been resolved somehow using the same settings as before!!!

I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT DIDN'T WORK BEFORE.....ANYWAY, THANX!!

Dreamweaver was and still is flakey on FTP, use fileZilla or cuteFTP

I haven't been able to upload from Dreamweaver either for quite some time... I've tried everything I've read here: passive FTP, using ftp.x10hosting.com as host name, using port 21. I always get the same window walidno1 posted...
I was able to upload from Dreamweaver, using the same settings I already have, but it suddendly stopped working. Do you remember any changes you made to make it work again?
