    Visual Basic 2010

hi guys, I'm studying vb.net right now. Can you tell some good links or books to start with. And also the, if ever, the best practices in data layer. Thanks.

    Hi!
I always liked books from Wiley!

    Wiley Beginning Visual Basic 2010
Wrox Professional Visual Basic 2010 and .NET 4

You may use them along with MSDN library.

    Re: Visual Basic 2010

The ASP.Net 2.0 quickstart tutorials are nice, if a bit old.

Why VB and not C#? VB makes me feel unclean (though I do like that it supports XML literals; reminds me of E4X).
Be sure to read all pages linked in this post; they have further information that should prove useful. When asking for help, make sure you follow Eric Raymond's and Jon Skeet's guidelines for prompt, accurate responses. Please answer any questions I ask; they're not rhetorical (probably). Any posted code is intended as illustrative example, rather than a solution to your problem to be copied without alteration. Study it to learn how to write your own solution.

    Re: Visual Basic 2010

I choose VB because this is the first language that I used in building desktop apps for my clients. But I'm looking forward to study c# for new learning.
