I'm trying to figure out SSL particularly, one or more pages on the site have to be protected. Is it possible to test this on my free hosting account? How do I go about doing that?
I've downloaded a program for generating test certificates and I will, eventually pay for a real one.

I guess I can not install my own certificate since I'm sharing an IP. (Here's the good explanation I've found http://support.zeus.com/zws/faqs/200...rtual_servers_ ).
Since phpinfo() says that SSL is enabled, can I still implement it for a page? Is it expensive to get hosting with unique IP?
