hey so i was attempting to install ipb 2.3 and when it tells me to go to the installation directory i only get a blank white screen. i followed the directions correctly and i'm unsure as to what's causing the problem..please help

did you remove the installation directory after the installation, because most of the cms require you to do that.

Looking in to your cpanel error logs may throw some ideas about the problem.

well actually this is during the installation process. after i successfully uploaded the files via ftp, i go to the directory which it tells me to in order to "install" it and connect the sql database with ipb and it just doesn't load up

As tittat pointed out, check out in the log files... and post the error message. May be its trying to execute a banned php inbuilt function. In that case, you have to request for a php upgrade to intermediate from your account panel.

lol yeah there is nothing in my error log. just a blank box. i'll take your advice on requesting a php upgrade to intermediate
