apache do not display .ai files in index

how do I tell apache to not display .ai (Illustrator) files in the index?

would I go about this with a .htaccess file? if so can someone explain?

why would you be hosting .ai files in the first place?

x10's server are for hosting. not for storing your personal files.

but you should be able to do it via cPanel.
