Problem with Fantastico?

I wasn't sure where else I would post this.

However, If I setup a phpbb3 forum, everything's fine but I encounter 2 probems :

1. The thing where you need to type in letters and numbers for validation when registering an account. Sorry I can remember what this is called. But the problem is, it asks you to validate by typing the words you see in the box, however there's no "picture" thing with letters + numbers inside the box (if that makes any sense). This isn't a huge issue seeing as I can just turn off the validation in the settings.

2. You can view topics and stuff, but if you try to post I get this "500 Internal Server Error"

1. I install and nothing is there in the directory.

For all problems I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling MANY times.


I don't care which type of forum I set up, as long as I can set up one type :P

I'm not sure what you mean by this? I just access fantastico through cpanel. Sorry, a bit of a noob.

what php level do you have? by default you'll have php basic (lvl 1). you have to request to get php intermediate or advanced (lvl 2 and lvl3 respectively). a lot of php programs may need php lvl 2, including forum software.
