    Smile SQL Question

Alright, this is a question for you PHP/SQL guys out there: my site is currently setup with Joomla and SMF. Joomla is on one database with its own user. SMF is the same. The SMF user is allowed to work on the Joomla database, and the Joomla user is allowed to do the same to the SMF database. Here's my question:

Is it better (more secure, faster, etc.) to have it like it is right now, or have both SMF and Joomla on one database, using one user?

    Re: SQL Question

it would probably be a tad faster if you have them both in one database i wouldnt worry about it unless your site is really popular.

Okay, thanks. It's not, for the record. I'm just trying to consolidate data.
