FTP backup cron job?

Hi

How would I go about creating a cron job to automatically backup my MySQL databases and files every day? But I would like them to be backed up to another FTP location, another server.

Is this possible? And if so, how do I do it? I dont know the first thing about creating cron jobs, so a step by step would be good.

That script can be used to send the backup by email or ftp

Would that script do the file directory as well?
