    phpbb instalation probelsm with softaculous

hello evry1. i have installed a phpbb forum on the main root of my adress (public_html directory), followed all steps with softaculous, after instalation done i can see that mysql database was created and can see the forum index page, but when i try to loggin in it with username and pass created in softaculous, it just says in the forum that ''member not found'' and doesnt allow me to do anything of the forum.
any idea how i can correct this? do i have to install phpbb3 manually, uploading it and using its own install feature?

thanks in advance for any reply givven.

Go in phpmyadmin and browse to the database that was created for phpbb. check for the members table and make sure that the username you are using is in there. Be careful not to edit any of the data present in the database as it could become corrupt.

I personally recommend doing a manual install for the added flexibility, but some people prefer using softaculous since there is way less user interaction.

At least, you solved your problem!

indeed i did, have made some forums b4 and it wasnt hard to get it running now, tho im not a good php savy tho lol. im still learning about php in general, and want to know more about the templates in particular since it can be made great themes for phpbb or other forums/cms/blogs.... when i have my forum ready ill show you the work and give you the link, its a forum about a guilld/legion on the newest mmorpg game from NCSoft (aion) with guild announcements, discussion area and game info/help.
