The Best Forum? (FREE)

I was wondering what you guys thought was the best free board, between SMF, phpBB2, IPB 1.3, IPB 1.3.1 and IPB 2.0.0 (unlimited) or if you knew of any others that were good for having a lot of skins available or easily skinnable

okay i have 2.0.0 PF3 installed, and just for kicks i thought i might enter a random reg number, and it worked :S is that illegal? should i reinstall?

Iv'e been useing SMF the last two times I need a board and I normaly use IBP. But I got to say SMF is the best, It's kinda like vbulletin but realy simple and installing skins and all that is very easy.

IPB v2.0.0 is the most powerful free online forum host, in my opinion. It is clearly superior to InvisionFree, as the latter is based on IPB v1.3. Boards that are hosted by IPB v2.x are generally highly regarded, too.

yeah i am going to go with invision 2.0.0
1 - because of the reg glitch (not illegal)
2 - it is 100% free
3 - it is recognized so a lot of mods/skins are available

I've run IPB 1.3 and 2.0, and I must say, their system is fantastic and I would not use any other forum software. The layout of IPB is very straightforward and user-friendly, and it is highly customizable. IPB for the win :drool:

I've only got a hand at phpBB2 so, i don't really know which one is the best. Maybe when i get my free hosting account i'll try all of them.
