Any suggestions on my website?

Of course, my website is http://zkc.x10hosting.com/ ...(but may or may not be working) I don't really like my design, and I DESPERATELY need to add content...

So what are your suggestions for content and graphics, and will you help me improve the site if you do have better ideas of what to put on the site? (I of course have a few ideas of my own, I just want to see if anyone has better ideas mainly)-Shade

The background and font need to be changed, the font doesn't flow, and the background is too busy/cluttered

A few things I can recommend... Firstly, you've done the most common mistake made in webdesign, that is, trying to fill all the space on the screen with colour! No no no, whitespace is good! Use it!

Secondly, no matter what it is, just get some content up there, even if its just a selection of your bookmarks, get something up there. The "This site is under construction" text must be the most annoying thing in the world. If the site is under construction, don't upload it!

Thirdly, your choice of font is I have to say, appalling. Only a few sites can get away with using Times New Roman and still having it look good, and they are usually perfectly crafted CSS websites. My recomendation to you, use fonts like Arial or Verdana. Use a reasonably small font, and definatly do not have it orange.

Fourthly, don't have a background image. You only need a background image if you are doing something like faint scanlines, and then it's only a few pixels wide. Keep away from the pretty colours, it will just drive visitors crazy.

Fifthly, one of the most important things is colours, keep colours the same throughout your site. Try not to use too vibrant colours, if unsure, stick to shades of the same colours. I have tried using orange before, but only in a gradient, Click here.

I have made my website almost blank except the banner, and I am now going to add actual content as soon as I think of something to put there. XD-Shade
