Does anyone else have the problem that they cannot send and recieve using their Gmail accounts when they are using POP3/SMTP?

Just checked, mine is working.
Maybe it has something to do with your configs. If you haven't touched your configurations for ages and don't know whats happeneing.. If you have firefox, try useing IE once, if it works, I'd suggest reinstalling or checking for viruses.
I am using Microsoft Outlook 2003 and have not touched any of the settings.
My ports are :-
Incoming: 995
Outgoing: 465
pop.gmail.com
smtp.gmail.com

Speaking of that, Im using POP3 and SMTP for gmail, but for some reason every time I send a message it sends, but also goes into my inbox as an unread message. Does anyone know how to fix this. Im using Mozilla Thunderbird

There was a problem between gmail and spamcop , so some providers+ gmail didnt work very well , should be fixed real soon
Gmail works fine for me. Always has. it hasnt been down in awhile for me.

That depends on wich internet provider you have , and to what mail service you try to send to.
like the dutch chello their mailservers are protected by spamcop. and when spamcop and gmail were in a fight, all mail from gmail to that server was bounced
