3 column layout ideas.

Hi,

You know in 3 column layouts they usually have the left column for navigation, middle column for content and right column for other 'modules' e.g. quotes, updates, polls etcetera.

What I need is suggestions for that right hand column.

For those too lazy, I currently have a quotes system and a poll section. The updates section is under construction and will be added once the web management section is finished.

I know the site isn't perfect - the text colour and warnings are stemming from the fact that I need to use a BETA poll system on my website due to the include function (BETA only) allows the area to be automatically defined, whereas the iframe function (stable) leaves for a big gap / scrollbars if the area is too large / small.

Comments on site generally are welcome.

I've never had enough for a right column so I've never been in this dilema before, but I do like the poll and quotes over there. Maybe if you kept track of how many clicks each page/article gets and display the most popular one there? Or perhaps a random article/page feature as well.

I like that random page feature idea. Have some points.

And also, I would like to code everything by hand, but a poll system is quite complex and my php skills aren't up to that sort of standard yet.

I've thought of another idea I could have: LInks to other sites etcetera. :D That will mean The .co.nr ad and the x10 ad will have a place that is visible. I'll code this first because it'll be easier.
