Quesion about using AJAX?

Hi.

I have a free hosting account, so I have two questions to ask.

1: Installing AJAX Components, Modules, or Plugins will this get me banned?

2: If I can use them, will any AJAX program cause my use of resources to go through the roof, and causing my site to be suspended?

2. If you are going use AJAX for (un???)restricted chat,etc, then probably (eventually as your site grows) it will.

using ajax won't get your resource usage over the roof in any way. Constantly reloading/refreshing webpages or parts of them might. So, the ajax components you use, do they cause a partial page refresh? If they are chat scripts they most likely do so, and using a chat script will get you suspended or banned (read the TOS as stated by maestro above). If this is bad news to you, consider x10premium or x10VPS, which are paid options, but some of them are really cheap in my opinion.

Thanks guys for the replies. I haven't installed anything yet that would be AJAX related. I just wanted to make sure first before looking into adding it too my website.
