Winzip 10 - Ages to load

I currently have a bit of a problem with my Winzip version 10. Whenever I open a zip file, Winzip sort of freezes for a little bit while it is 'loading list' but yeah, its just that it takes ages to load the zip files.

Does anyone know of any fix for this?

I dont know of the fix but if it gives you errors use WinRar.

I use WinRAR for .rar and .gz files. I like to use WinZip for .zip files, especially since I have purchased it!

try http://www.tugzip.com/, it's free and it gets the job done, has a nice UI.

Meh, I dont really like winRAR, not sure why. I use ALZIP... best one IMO. 7-zip is good too.

I DO NOT want to change extraction programs from Winzip and WinRAR to just WinRAR or someother one, Im willing to still use WinZip, just wondering if anyone knows of any fix/patch that may speed up 'loading the list'.

Hmm I have winzip 10 and I have no problems with it. You may want to check out their site for any faq's

(also just to let you know, another good extraction program is Izarc)

I used winzip before and winrar for my rar files, but my trial soon ran out for win rar. so i started using 7zip for all my compressed files. It works very well for me, i've never really had a problem with it. i hope you use it.

I think I might have had a beta version of it or something. I downloaded WinZip Pro off their site again and it now works fine.
