    Transfering Office 2003 licence

I bought Microsoft Office 2003 Student Edition and it comes with 3 licences. If I install it on this computer, and 2 others I am ok. However, if I get a new PC and want to install in on that PC, and remove it from one of the others, how does it tell how many times I have used my licence? Anybody know?

Don't you wish Microsoft had Apple's great Authorize/Deauthorize computer feature? So do I.

Other than that, no idea unless you want it to be illegal.

That's one of the features I dislike of Microsoft. I've had that happen with many of my Microsoft Office products. I will buy a license for a couple of computers, then get a new one and I can't transfer the office suite. Ugh...

Why not? It would be like bringing a Xbox game to someone else's house.

I meant the licence. How do they know whether or not you uninstalled it on one PC and reinstalled it on another?

I'm pretty sure that you can install it on the new computer as long as the licence is only being used on three computers at a time.

Worst comes to worst, just call up their customer support and ask them.
