login script

alright so i am writing this login script (just for fun, no one needs it YET) and i'm trying to use the "$HTTP_REFERER" variable, but i go into phpinfo() and i don't see any field set aside for it, i do see "HTTP_HOST" but that's not what i want, i want the full url, is there anyway this can be implemented?

Try using $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'].

ok well it will have to cost you oh...say 500 points maybe cuz i've been working on this for a while...it consists of a login file then verification file (which has the users in it listed along with the passwords) but i'm not sure how secure it is...it's very simple and there's no gfx or anything lol btw bryon, thank you for the variable, it will help ;)

the evolt link is a great resource. You have a complete login system. Am trying to write a verification sytem to it like CAPTCHA that would make it a little more secure.
