    go into cPanel, click "Backup" it is i believe, and there should be an option at the top that says "Generate/Download a Full Backup" i think that's what it says but i'm not quite sure as my cPanel ain't working right now..

    How long does it take to back up a site i left it running for hours and it still said backup in progress.

    hmm usually i don't think it should take that long, unless you've got some MASSIVE file(s) on the server but i don't actually do that backup processs, lol sorry, i just usually do it seperately, like i'll download the MySQL file backup, then i'll click the link "Download a home directory Backup" and that gives you everything, not just public_html so ya..try doing it that way otherwise, idk what's the problem :dunno:
