So i checked the vbull site for licsense prices. So it says its $160 for an owned licsense forever. But must you pay the $30 monthly for updates?

    There are two licenses:
    1) Price $160.00. This license is for life, so you can run vBulletin and you never need to renew the license. You've 1 year of updates with this buy. After that year, if you want to update vBulletin again, you need to pay $30 more, and you'll get another year of updates.

    2) Price $85. This license is for 1 year, and in that year you have the updates covered. After 1 year, you need to buy another license, or remove the forum.

    I hope it's clear

Yes its $160 to keep your lisence forever, but to get new versions you need to pay $30 a YEARso that new software can be downloed, like new versions.

And with an owned lisence, you can change the URL and use the lisence anywere almost, with a leased you cant, if ur ideas change and domain, take down old forum, change the URL from the vBulletin Members Panel, and then upload to the new domain.
    Thanks,

I think vB should be free, or at least IPB because they are both great forum systems, vB > IPB though in my opinion.

Vbulletin runs smoother, but I like the IPB look better.

Accually IPB is $25 every 6 months, vB is $30 every year, so vB is cheaper.
    Thanks,
