    Kubuntu

    Fedora Core is a popular distribution, and why list CentOS and Redhat, they are both from the same packages, just one is free?

    I would have to agree with Zenax. For me, I was raised around DOS and windows based machines. I tried a Mac once in school ... left that lab behind and wandered back over to the PC room.
    I would love to learn *nix ... but when I first attempted it, and went looking for assistance ... I felt a bit out of my league. The answers given were like I was suppose to have mastered the thing already.

    lol yah i know what you mean. I use Windows And Linux Both. I have a Duel Boot Set up. but i use linux more than windows. I am in to making programs and what not. I started with makeing windows programs in visual basic and using C++. Then i took it a step farther by starting linux programming.
