Alright I just whipped up this design overnight. I don't have a lot of ideas and haven't designed in a while, so I tried experimenting with color schemes and this is the final product:

its ok, the Story Title text should be inside the round circle. The header, doesnt really fit, should be slightly brighter in colour. Remove the lines on the header, and add a graphic logo for the header.

Other than that the design is ok.
