remote mysql db access

i have a form creator that i need to connect to my database from my computer. how do i go about this. what do i put in the hostname server (or ip) field. thanks

if u have static ip, yes. U can remote database but u must have apache with MySQL on your pc, but im not sure about this..

Like vsgfxmt said, it will only work if you have a static IP from your ISP. Check http://www.whatismyip.com/ to find your external IP address. Then add this to the list of remote hosts in the MySQL section of cPanel. This should allow your computer to connect to the database server.
