can't delete, rename folders

Are you using the FTP or File Manager on your account? Have you clicked on the Rename/Delete buttons when you click on a specific file /folder?

I use both FTP and File manager. Yes i've clicked on the rename, delete buttons.

There must be some sort of permission error then. You might want to direct this towards the administration.

On another note, your CPanel may just be getting an upgrade according to this news post.

EDIT - Did you upload those files using PHP by any chance?

i did have some php files in that particular folder. but i managed to delete those files except the folder.

somtimes the server inturupts large uploads and it cancels the upload/download. on mine there is a file called

.pureftpupload.somthing

with some numbers, it also cant be deleted, but dont worry. I should go away in about a day or two.

Contact x10hosting support and ask them to reset the ownership of your files and folders.

I have this same problem, except I also recieve an error saying that something is blocking the connection (though in my case I believe it is the firewall here in the library). If you can figure out exactly what the problem is and how to fix it, please message me so I can figure out what's wrong with my site too!

I'm almost certain I can provide a fix to this through PHP, but I need to understand your situation just a bit better; are you not able to delete the files due to permission? That is, what is the error message being displayed when you attempt to rename or delete a file in your public_html directory? Also, d'you intend to delete all of the files in that directory, or just a select group?
