They keep it, you just point the domain name to here. ( change the nameservers to point to x10hosting )

They are more expensive, but highly reliable [if security is an issue]
They will not use underhand techniques [usually ;)] to hijack your domains. (coz they are paying thousands of dollars a year to mantain their "accredited" status)

i liked namecheap.com. they have cheap domain names for about $8 and you could use a coupon to get the domain name for a $1 cheaper
