joomla school website install

Hi guys hoping someone can help with my problem

Im creating a school website using an edugeek joomla template. Ive followed the intructions from here and managed to upload the files. Ive created the msql database but seem to keep getting the username/password error.

I haven't added my password for obvious reasons but the site address is http://orchard.x10hosting.com

Blatantly just an obvious mistake somewhere but ive been trying all night, any help would be massively appreciated.

Looking at your Joomla Setup page, the first obvious error is what you have typed into the "Host Name" field. It should be "localhost" and NOT "orchard.x10hosting.com". Try this, and I'm sure it should work

Anyway, the software will pick-up that your domain is "http://orchard.x10hosting.com" ;)

Joomla is a content management system or more commonly known as a CMS. It's open source and quite easy to use.

Sometimes, the instructions next to the input boxes actually give you the clues you need ;) ("This is usually 'localhost'")

there is a much quicker way to do this through cpanel under services click fantastico and you can install joomla from there in under a min nice and easy but if you do go and way with trying to connect to your sql database its Localhost that the DB is stored on
