    Re: searching

You can add meta tags like <meta name="description" ......
<meta name="keywords" . I heard that keywords were abused and only as effective as content now by most SE's.
I am not sure if registering the site on google makes a difference or not. I think their spiders will find your site anyway. I will say that the content of your page is a biggie.
Keep in mind that any changes you make to your html will not be picked up by the spiders for about a week i believe. There is also no way to "force" your site into SE's
I think the importance is like this:
    1) name of website
    2)<title>info</title>
3)<meta name="description" content="all the words you want to be found here"/>
    4)<meta name="keywords" content="words you want to be searched"/>
5)content of web page (ascii text appearing in the html of your page, usually this can be seen on the screen)

Other sites linking to yours ups your search results, I am not sure of how much...
Hope this helps, I am just learning this myself so take it with a grain of salt.
