There are two free forums available through Fantastico in your cPanel. They are SMF and phpBB and are very easy to install.

You will need to create a SQL database for either program. You can do this from cPanel.

You will also need to upgrade your version of php to intermediate. This can be done from your account page. Simply request intermediate and explain that it is to run a forum.
