my new server HELP

i am setting up my own webserver (doesnt mean im leaving) but i would like some way to control it remotly with some program i was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of something like cpanel that we have thanks in advance

You mean an ftp program?
if so try smartftp, it's free and it's good. do a google search

Try something like Webmin and Usermin (maybe wiht Virtualmin?).
Google them if you don't know where to find them.

I find they aren't as complete as cPanel (last I checked, they didn't install everything you need for you) - but it beats buying a license.
