ok, i downloaded phpbb from their website, and im using coreftp lite, but i don't know what to connect to, everything i tried would not connect. help?

Connect with your site's url, and your hosting account's username and password. If you can't connect then the ftp server may be offline; check in your account CP to check the status (http://x10hosting.com/account).

Ok, i checked, and it said FTP was online, but when i go to connect it says:

or it says:

for coreftp lite this would be what you would enter to connect

Site name: what ever you want

Host/IP/URL: ftp.ambience.x10hosting.com

Name: Same as you use to log into Cpanel
PW: same as above same PW you use for Cpanel

Port:21
...............
I take it that ambience.x10hosting.com is you site? if so this should be the right setting to log into FTP.

Ok people, I got it, i connected to the IP address of the server.
