    Exclamation Lose the Index

OK, I am new to X10, so I was wondering if there is a way to throw out the index, and set your own homepage to your site. If so, can someone please tell me how??? Thanks!!!:dunno:

    Re: Lose the Index

It's quite simple. You delete the current 'index.html' file from your filemanager which can be accessed by going into your cPanel, if you don't know how to do this then just type "example.com:2082". The 2082 at the end is important because it is the port number which redirects to it. Once you are in your filemanager, just browse into the public_html directory and delete the 'index.html' page. You can then upload your site with the main page having the name 'index.html'. Then when you point your browser to your website, it should automatically go to that file and your site will work

    Hope this helps.

Create a new file called index.html, index.htm, home.html, index.php, etc. or install a CMS and it will create a default index for you.

    Thanks
