    Web 2.0 (Share Your Findings)

Well... Actually I think there is some talk about 2.0 and I don't completely know what that is about, so I apologize to those who do.

This thread is about what I would like to call Web 2.0. I'm sure some of you know of some websites that offer some pretty cool services. Well there is even a topic on splashup.com, which is a very nice site that offers a flash based photoshop-like application. You can do many of the same things as a exe based application on your computer, only this is run off of a website, meaning no software other than a browser is needed.

So here in this thread why don't we all share some sites of some great web based applications that bring out the web standard I like to call, Web 2.0.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Goowy Media, Inc
    - a great site that offers the creation of widget like applications that can be shared. It also offers a very nice 'webtop' that is similar to your desktop, only this is browser based. Manage and upload files, listen to your music, use widgets, check your mail, IM and more.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    FlyaKiteOSX
    - while this site is maily for a real .exe that converts your standard PC into a Mac-like machine, this part of the site offers another 'webtop' that is setup like the Mac OSX operating system. Not a ton of features but it is nice.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Splashup
    - as I already mentioned, there is a topic on this already, so you can get more info there. I would just like to say it is a very nice image editor especially if you are on the go or on a PC that you don't have access to any .exe graphics apps.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Meebo Instant Messenger
    - here is something I use pretty often. This is a web-based instant messaging client that supports protocols such as: AIM, MSN(and WLM), Yahoo, Jabber, ICQ and Google Talk. You can log all your accounts at once and preform many useful functions just as if you were using the real clients. Definitely for when you are on a computer that doesn't have these clients and you can not(or shouldn't) download them.

You are a 'real' programmer not when you write a program that has no errors, but when you write a program that has no errors, and that bothers you.

Those are all defined as Web2.0, not 3.0. Three has yet to come.
