    Rapid Chat v1 (Perl/CGI questions)

So rapidchat finally got released as a free script (old ver 1.. its actually ver3 now which better but can't afford it :P)..

So I'll post some host questions here about Rapid Chat host requirements if I may... If I'm posting in teh wrong place please inform me so, or move me :D my apologies in advance.

My question is.. does x10 support CGI Exec files?

I think you could better ask this in

But x10 offers CGI but don't know if exec is in it :s don't know anything about CGI :p

CGI = Common Gateway Interface, its not a language in itself. I assume the script you want is in perl?

Yups. Thats the one. Rapid Chat is in perl.. I'm trying to figure out how to make it run (it was a freelance project and the dev only released a version now and its an ooooold buggy one).. The CGI files were draining server resources last night, so kept tripping the suspension :p

Well, if its old and buggy, probably not since its a free server, users have to be considerate of others. Try finding a less resource intensive chat program.

Oh well I mean old and buggy in the small sense (no money check when buying items... so people can keep buying items even when their money is negative).. (other people hearing PMs/Whispers by accident etc) -> it was using up server resources due to some installatiion issues. Once it runs normally, its quite efficient.
