What should I use for a forum? SMF, PHPBB, iPBFree, etc.

You can install SMF and PHPBB from the Fantastico in the cPanel. The choice is yours.

If you want to install a vBulletin make sure that you have a license to use it. Using it illegally will cause to account suspension.

if u want to pay then vbulletin but for free i would use phpbb3 or mybb

I say SMF, since it is like the best free forum software, and is less resource intensive..but if you have the money
vBulliten, requires alot of money to look nice, since alot of the skins are needed to be paid for
