Problem wioth filezilla

Everytime there is connectivity foir a few seconds then the server does not respond
and now there was a login failure
i have changed the password and tried,still not working
then i reset the password the mail has not reached its over 15 mins
can firewall cause a hindrance ??
i have pc tools firewall plus installed



mods please look into the matter i havent received the email for resetting pass
