hey i need help with FTP, ive nevr used it befor and i want to know exatly wat i should do step by step, i downloaded the core ftp tht x10 links 2 on cpanel, anyone have any awnsers?

I suggest you use SmartFTP, it is free and easy to use...
in anycase for any FTP all you need is your
ftp address - ftp.your.subdomain.here - replace you.subdomain.here with your own subdomain, or domain if you bought one.
ftp user - the login name you use to log into cPanel
ftp password - the login pass you use to log into cPanel

that should do it, and place your files (index.html) in the www folder or public_html

at first download "FileZilla" from any download site(its free).
then install it and run that app. , then u will be asked abt uar ftp address - eg)ftp.your.subdomain
then enter uarftp userID and PW. thats all you can then access your web file easily as u are accessing the files in uar windows.

Don't use **** like SmartFTP, I tried it and it is crap, FileZilla's alright, but I reckon the best is FireFTP which is a very tiny addon for Firefox, it's great, check it out.
