I am totally green about these things so I don't even know where to begin.

I think you have to given permission for your user. Actually its the previlage.

To Give User Rights:-
Go the control panel. go to the MySQL section. At the bottom of the page, you can find a thing saying previlage. select the user and select the database you will be using, in the next screen, give all rights to him. Save the changes and try again. If not post it again.

None of that worked. Everything worked fine until they did all those upgrades a few months back. I was waiting to post this as I knew they had a bunch of problems. I haven't been able to get in there for over a month.
