upgrading to phpbb

Help! ok, so i wanted to upgrade my forum to phpbb 3, but i already have a significant amount of posts i dont want to lose. Could anyone tell me how to properly upgrade and keep my files at the same time?

Ooo ooo pick me pick me!! I would be glad to help! What you need to do is install phpBB3. On the last page, there is a link to convert a phpBB2 forum to phpBB3. You have to click it and fill in the necessary information. I would be glad to do it for you if you want! (I'm like a phpBB guru!)
