I didn't really understand much of that, but your comp is saying its having error reading ur hard drive? And you have to restart 20 times to make it work properly?

I also don't understand. If you could say it better I might help you. Did you try to see if all connections of the hard drive is connected?

    Re: Hard Drive Problem

What i mean is: I turn it on, and it shows me a screnn saying something like disc reading error press ctrl+alt+del to restart, i restart and it shows me the same screen again and again, until one time it shows me the Windows screen. When I restart for any reason I don't have this problem, this problem shows when the computer is off for a time and I turn it on again. But when I enter the BIOS, I go to the Boot section, and the Hard Drive is there. The Connections are in order.

    Re: Hard Drive Problem

hello, it sounds to me like

A): There might be problem with you MBR (Master Boot Record) or,
B): You may have a faulty IDE cable (the wide long one that connects your drive to your MoBo)

It would seem though that B is the more likely option so you may want to check or even replace that cable, theyre not expensive.

Try that and post what happens.
I have dreamed a dream, and now that dream is gone.

    Re: Hard Drive Problem

    how many harddisk you have???

you might wanna check these also

1.) Check to see your jumper slots near the IDE cable its a 6 pins like thingy see if its on the slave or master. ( if you have 2 harddisc or more)

2.) Go down or call the hardware shop that you bought your harddisk or your computer or the company you asked to prefixed your computer for you, to have a check on your harddisk (might be manufacturing problem).

    Code:
the last time when I bought my computer from a prefixing company that help me build my computer, the harddisk is spoil after 2 weeks of use, I called the technical down which cost nothing because I am still under warranty of 1 year
If your harddisk have no important data try getting it replaced with a new one, I sure your computer have some type of protection warranty for 1 year or 2 years

    Re: Hard Drive Problem

I have only 1 hard disc, but I think the problemb is the IDE Cable, so I'll go and buy a new one, because they jumpers are ont their places, I have just repaired Windows, so I hope this finished my problem, if not I'll come back and ask for more help. Thanks.
