Ads still not showing in forums.

Hi there im trying to set up a forum on the advanced ad suported plan and im still having problems getting my ad from the ad code to appear on each page of the forums.

Ive searched x10 and forund that you need to apply the ad code to teh overall_header or overall_footer.html chris said footer would be fine.

The current scheme i want to use for the forum is the acidtech one but i've tried to place the code everywhere on the page and it doesnt show up at all. currently its at the bottom after the division core link.

If i cant get this to work i will have to stick with my informme forum but theming is pretty much imposible there.

can anyone suggest anything or at least just check to see if they can see the ad at the bottom for me?

Do you have an ad blocker running? Try turning that off when you want to view the adds. x10hosting's ads are blocked by Firefox's Ad Block Plus addon.

Are you saying you can see them?

Just as another note, when i edit the text in the footer to see if it changes on the uploaded page the result is the same, no change in the text.

Although the hosted page has the edited html, the page displayed is un-changed. :nuts::ughwerd:

Edit, whoops I'm sorry I didn't check then. Slipped my mind, well I just check with out ad block plus on and it doesn't show ><
Hmm... Are you sure you are overwriting the previous files?

Deffinatly, i re-downloaded them from the server and checked.

This is the code inthe overall_footer.html. The ad is in red.

Maybe the server is having trouble getting the ad. Try using the specific ad type for the package you are using.

erm, i tried this last weekend too so it cant be the server the ads with that code work on the rest of the site just not the forums. The advanced ad code doesnt work either.

Actually, forget it, im officially past caring for the moment.

go to site admin
style tab
click the style you have placed the add in.
click refresh.
go to the general tab.
click run now for purge cache.
then check the site using ie and you will see the add.
