sry, my clan uses mambo but i like php-nuke cuz it seems like it has more add ons

Seriously though.. learn PHP and SQL, and you'll be set. You can do a lot, once you learn them. PHP isn't hard to learn, if you try.

What do you mean? If you really cared about it, you could learn "them", pretty quickly. If you don't, just resort to what everyone else uses, CMS's.
