hey all

im thinking of getting a laptop.
i wonna buy 1500$ laptop or maybe less, an di wonna play some games like doom 3 and stuff would it work on a 3.20 or 3.15 ghz laptop ?

why do you want a laptop?
i doubt you can get a 3.2 ghz laptop for less than 2000 dollars

why not just get a desktop? more bang for its buck!
ive seen laptops with 2.8 ghz processors and 512 mb's of ram die from games like doom

well i wonna get a laptop and they don't cost much here, i live in Canada, and im gonna get a job, ther eis a bestbuy store here in Canada and Futureshop,Bestbuy has the best prices.
hmm i wonna get a laptop still, im gonna buy it cuase long time ago when i lived in Poland i had no computer only comodor 64 and now i got a dekstop and now i wonna get a laptop hmm i really wonna get one :innocent:, i don't know which store im gonna get one at hmm
i never knew you could customize it anyways i will think about it

are you kidding me? laptops from bestbuy or any other retailers are rip offs
and if you say a 1500 dollar laptop isnt expensive then you've sure got income to burn

if you want a good deal on a laptop you might as well customize online and have it shipped to you.. its what i did and it was several hundred cheaper than any retailer's same computer with same stats

most stores only give big hard drives and then jack up the prices..

I would get either a Sony Vaio, or a Dell. Yes you can get those tthings for that price. If you are lucky you can get them for $800 throught ebay.

Ebay? thats crazy most of the computers sold are "bootleg" my cusion made the mistake of buying a laptop from there lol anyways "i wonna buy 1500$ laptop" sometimes the most expensive computers arent always the best/fastest and ghz has nothing to do with graphics compability you have to have
1. a good 3d graphics card
2. alot of RAM (memory)
3. good processor
In my opnion sony makes the best gaming computers simply because they are reliable-dont quit on you while playing graphics although it is your choice look at those 3 tips before buying a computer for gaming.

sony's are expensive not just because of brand
because of its reliability
all my dell friends have said their comps have died in around three years

all my relatives have bought sony's and they havent had any trouble
mines working fine too its never had any trouble if any sort
(and alienware is just overpriced bull)

but customizing will save alot more money than buying from a store i assure you that.

actually alienware is expensive for a reason. my dad's old one was bought 7 years ago and man, that is still a hot computer and runs beautifully. No signs of slowing down or drives going bad! and my sony is good too, its the option if you can't get an alienware. don't get dell cuz they suck. even hp's better.
