help installing nuke-evolution

is it possible to install nuke-evolution on a free web hosting account? i've created a database and uploaded the nuke-evolution files, idk if i did something wronge or if its possible to have evo on a free hosting plan. oh and when i get to the install and get to the 2nd step it says the .htaccess and .staccess are missing and that i should chmod them. now idk exactly what it means but if anyone could help me i would appreciate it alot, thanks

There should be two files in the directory, one is called evo.htaccess and the other is called evo.staccess. Rename these to .htaccess and .staccess respectively.
