Movie Editing Program?

Can anyone recommend a better program than windows movie maker? I use WMM to make gaming vids for like Tony Hawks UG2 and Gunz : The Duel, but it doesn't have that many options to cutting, pasting, the actual clips you use.

Can any one name some programs that I can download? Mainly freeware please.
Also a program that compresses the video files, since I use fraps and Game Cam, and the files they make are huge! I use virtual dub, but it takes really long to compresses lots of videos, to much clicking involved.

Ulead VideoStudio 9.0 , Blaze Media Pro 6.0, are the best i use blaze media pro mostly its very easy to use.

i have adobe premiere 6 LE.. it came preinstalled on my computer
i have no clue how to use it
but if i knew how to im sure i would be using it since it looks all nice and complicated like photoshop
